Being overweight is no laughing matter. It affects your health and it affects your self esteem. The longer you stay overweight the more damage you can do to your body. Obesity can damage your heart because it has to work harder to pump the excess blood through your body. Excess fat can damage your body’s ability to process sugar and carbohydrates and cause diabetes. So what do many people do when they need to lose weight? They turn to diet pills. If you are considering diet pills, you need to be aware of some of the dangers.
Diet pills will have side effects. These side effects can be very dangerous if you have any other health problems. A lot of diet pills contain amphetamines. The side effect of amphetamines is nervousness, increased blood pressure, irregular heart beat and irritability. If you have an underlying heart problem, taking amphetamines could be fatal.
Diet pills also tend to have a laxative and diuretic effect. Excessive diarrhea and urination could lead to dehydration, dry skin, increased thirst and the most dangerous of these side effects, electrolyte imbalance. When the normal balance of sodium, potassium, calcium, glucose and chloride is upset, then you run the risk of having heart problems, muscle weakness and other conditions that can be very dangerous.
Finally, diet pills can be very addictive. A lot of people who use diet pills will find that over time they will need to take higher doses of the pill to get the same effect. They will become accustomed to the way the pill makes them feel and before they know it, they will become unable to function without the diet pills.
So as you can see, taking diet pills is not a good solution to your weight loss. The best way to lose weight is to follow a diet program. Not just any program, but one that will give you the option to choose a variety of healthy foods.
Learning how to eat sensibly and knowing when to stop eating is the key to losing the weight and keeping it off. Frequent small meals throughout the day will increase your metabolism to burn more calories. Getting away from sugary drinks and drinking more water will be very beneficial to your weight loss also.
There are many good diet programs out there that can help you lose the weight. You need to find the one that is right for you and one that fits your lifestyle. Just remember that weight loss is a long term commitment. Once you lose the weight, you must work to keep it off. Falling back into bad eating habits will put the pounds back on again.
Diet pills are not the answer to losing weight. The risks from diet pills are too great. Forget the diet pills and do some research on a healthy weight loss diet. Start eating healthy and you will see the pounds slowly start to come off. It may take some time, but remember, you didn’t just pack on all those extra pounds in one week. Being overweight is a result of months and months of unhealthy eating habits. It took time to put it on and it will take time to take it off.

Metabolife Diet Pill

Black Ice w/ Ephedra vs. Tri-Stack??
I am contemplating between the two diet pills. Has anyone tried one or the other and had success? I used to take metabolife 356 and stimerex es. Only diet pills with ephedra work for me.. any help deciding between the two would be much appreciated.
I would also appreciate the typical...dont take diet pills its bad for you blahlbahlabhlabh bs to not waste my time. I am aware of all of your nonsence. I am asking a specific question and would like an apropriate answer.
I've used all the diet pills you've mentioned and had good results with all because they are ephedra based products.
I've tried ordering black ice with ephedra and couldn't find anyone selling them anymore. I did try another diet pill called Tri-Methy Lean with ephedra and got very similar results as Black Ice. I would use the Tri-Methyl Lean again if needed.
Just my opinion.
P.S. I'm with you on the"don't take diet pills thing...sorry to those who don't agree, but nothing works like ephedra.

About Weight Loss Surgery
Weight loss surgery works by surgically altering the patient’s stomach to limit how much food he or she can eat. The surgery itself is performed with the patient under general anesthesia, usually as a laparoscopic procedure. These alterations force the patient to take in fewer calories each day than his or her body burns, which causes the person to drop excess pounds in a relatively short time.
But, surgery only works as part of a total medical treatment plan. It is not a magical cure for obesity. Patients who fail to follow the treatment plan recommended by their surgeon after surgery very often regain the weight they lost. Here is a list of food families. Use this list to create a 4-day rotation diet. Never eat foods from the same food family for two days in a row. For example, nightshade vegetables (tomato, potato, eggplant and peppers) are eaten on only one day. If you feel better on the other three days than you do on your "nightshade day" then you know that those are a problem for you.
Food Families List:
Abalone, clams, mussels, oysters & scallops. Anise, caraway seed, carrot, celery, celery seed, coriander, cumin, dill, fennel, parsley & parsnip. Apple, pear & quince. Artichoke, chicory, dandelion, endive, escarole, lettuce, sunflower seeds & tarragon. Asparagus, chives, garlic, leeks, onion & sarsaparilla. Avocado, bay leaves, cinnamon & sassafras.
Banana & plantain. Barley, corn, millet, oats, rice, rye & sorghum. Beets, spinach & swiss chard. Black-eyed peas, licorice, lima beans, navy beans, peanuts, peas, pinto beans & string beans. Blackberries, boysenberries, loganberries, raspberries & strawberries. Buckwheat, rhubarb & sorrel.
Cabbage, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, collards, horseradish, kale, mustard, radish, rutabaga, turnip & watercress. Cantaloupe, casaba melon, cucumber, honeydew melon, persian melon, pumpkin, squash & watermelon. Cashews, mango & pistachios. Chicken, duck, goose, pheasant, guinea hen, quail, squab, turkey & eggs. Chocolate, cola & cocoa. Coconut & dates. Crabs, crayfish, lobster, shrimp & squid.
Grapefruit, kumquat, lemon, lime, oranges & tangerines. Ginger, cardamom & turmeric.
Meat. Beef, goat, horse, pork, lamb; & milk from these animals. Mint, basil, peppermint, rosemary, sage & spearmint.
Peaches, plums, cherries, almonds & apricots. Pecans, walnuts, butternuts & hickory nuts. Peppers, bell peppers, cayenne peppers, chili peppers, eggplant, paprika, potatoes & tomatoes.
Turtle & rattlesnake.
To create a simple to follow allergy rotation diet, set up a four-column spreadsheet. Take the list above, and break it down into four days of diets. Remember, eat each food family only once in a four day period. Use a different food family for each food category each day.
For example:
On Day 1, your protein would be from the poultry group.
On Day 2, eat from the shellfish group.
On Day 3, eat from the meat group, etc.
Make sure to try foods that you normally don't eat. Remember that the foods that comprise your normal diet are causing your hidden food allergies. Expand your food palate and try some new foods. You may be surprised at how many new flavors and textures that you learn to love.
If you feel better after following this diet for several weeks then slowly and gradually try to introduce new foods. Only add a new food every several days (see the following section on Introducing Foods to Your Diet for more details on this process). Keep a food symptom diary to track your reactions to new foods, and proceed carefully.
You may find that over time you are able to eat certain foods at long intervals. For example, if corn is a problem for you, you may find after the diet and testing that you can get away with eating it once every week or two weeks.
All this testing and tracking may seem like a lot of work, but it is necessary in order to learn about your body and its allergic responses to help you reach your goal towards a gluten free diet. The relief that you feel from eliminating your allergens will be well worth the trouble and help it can help you lose weight too.

One of the biggest challenges in any weight loss effort is surely to stay focus. I should know.... been there and done that. One thing that's for sure is that challenging goal like weight loss requires sustained effort. Doing the things necessary for a day or two, like following a new weight loss program, isn't hard. What's tough is to string those days together for a longer period to create the progress, the momentum, and ultimately, the successful accomplishment.
The following are basically 10 tips on how to maintain your focus, your energy and your optimism while pursuing your weight loss goal. Embraced all of these guides and you'll be able to achieve your intention successfully.
1. Have Strong Reasons. With a compelling enough reason you can and will find the how and the means to accomplish your weight loss goal. Remember that reasons together with belief will keep you motivated. When you're excited about your goal, it doesn't seem like work. If you're not excited, your efforts will require more discipline and energy. Make sure it's YOUR goal and make sure it excites you.
2. Put Your Goals Down On Paper. Better still print out your goals and paste it all over the place - in your bedroom, on your refrigerator, at your office. This is a critical step. When you write your goals down, they become visible not only on paper, but they become lastingly written upon your consciousness.
3. Visualize. This is another powerful tips. Envisage your goal and nothing can resist the power of a clear, multi-sensory vision of a thinner, fitter and better looking you. The more detailed and "real" you can make your vision, the more powerful it will be. It will operate like a magnet and draw forth all kinds of things you never thought possible.
4. Formulate an Action Plan. An action plan allows you to achieve and stay focused upon your goal. It is basically the steps that you will take to get you from where you are to where you want to be. Your weight loss program is likely to change as you go along, so set your goals in concrete and your plans in sand. Keep your eye on the goal, but remain flexible in your path to it.
5. Affirm Your Success. Apart from writing it down, it's pertinent to constantly speak your goal into a reality. An affirmation is a present-tense, positive statement of your intended outcome. For instance once you reach a certain weight loss mark, you should declare it like: "I now have shed 10 pounds of weight in 20 days!" The more regular affirmations you can make, the more effective they will be.
6. Assess Your Progress. You can't change what you don't measure. Create a system that will allow you to see your progress. Use charts. Log your actions. Use anything that will encourage you by allowing you to objectively track your progress.
7. Maintain a Support System. It means that you need to surround yourself with people who will encourage and challenge you. Be accountable to someone other than yourself. In addition, always read positive books and review past successes.
8. Focus Small At One Time. You can achieve anything you desire, but not EVERYTHING you desire. Concentrate your efforts and your energy on just a few. Otherwise, you'll be overwhelmed by it all.
9. Take Action Daily. Every goal can be broken down into doable tasks done consistently. An important objective demands daily attention. A 400-page novel is not written all at once but a little over a page a day will get it done in a year.
10. Celebrate Your Achievements. As you achieve one goal, you can see better and believe more easily in the accomplishment of the next ones. You deserve to succeed and you deserve to
celebrate your successes.
